This issue is devoted to current developments and emerging challenges in the field of translation studies. The articles featured address diverse aspects of translation theory and practice, including equivalence, translation strategies, translator training, and the role of technology in shaping translation. Special attention is given to how translation interacts with sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, and applied linguistics, highlighting both the theoretical frameworks and practical realities of cross-cultural communication. By bringing together research on machine translation, human–machine collaboration, literary and non-literary translation, and language policy implications, this issue seeks to advance scholarly dialogue on the evolving role of translation in a multilingual and globalized world.
